Wasn’t it just twelve months ago when we were all together in that big, happily crowded tent, celebrating our 60th Anniversary? We were grateful and hopeful.
And now on our 61st anniversary, the world has turned upside down in many ways. More than six months into this pandemic we still tread on uncertainties. So I ask myself, Can I greet my CCBC family a Happy Anniversary and believe it with all my heart?
Yes, I can. There are many reasons but I’ll tell you my top three:
- We have our God. Despite the fact that so many things have changed, our powerful God did not. He remains seated on His throne, looking after us with so much love.
- We have each other. When stress and expectations pull and push us in all directions, we show the world what it truly means to be Christians. We work hard. We volunteer. We give. We respect and help each other out.
- We are clear on our mission. We are to reach our family, friends and the world for God and He is enabling us to do just that. The strategies have changed, the mission remains.
Can you add to this list? If yes, please write them in the comment section below.
And so my dear CCBC family, with conviction I say, Happy 61st Anniversary! With God’s grace, we’re looking forward to more.
Sincerely Yours,
REV. J-CIP LIM
Pastor-in-Charge
