From Broken to New: Mike's Story of Transformation
As early as 6th grade, brother Mike was exposed to substances like alcohol, cigarettes, and marijuana. He led a double life: diligently attending and serving in church, yet engaging in unproductive behaviors outside, such as skipping classes, getting into fights, and organizing drinking sessions. Despite knowing a lot about Jesus from his upbringing, Mike never truly knew Him or had a personal relationship with Him.
However, God’s grace was always present. Through the courage of John Rubio, a dormitory roommate, Mike heard the gospel and understood its significance. For the first time, he genuinely felt God’s presence, and his life began to transform.
If Jesus had not risen from the dead, where would we be? Through Jesus’ resurrection, broken lives are made new, dead lives are restored, and purposeless lives find new light. Mike’s story is a testament to Jesus’ resurrection power, and there are many more stories like his waiting to be shared.
